They are otherwise identical, with edge LED backlighting and MotionFlow XR 240 technology to ensure that fast-moving pictures are rendered as sharply as possible.

The native resolution is 1920 x 1080, and video smaller than this resolution is automatically scaled up by the X-Reality Engine. Online services available include BRAVIA Internet Video and Qriocity apps, as well as Skype services that will work at up to 720p resolution. To enable Wi-Fi, an additional USB wireless LAN adapter is required.
